Welcome to the future!

We welcome you to join us for the whole day, or just for a single session that interests you - The choice is yours, just tick the boxes of the sessions you want to join when you register.  

Epicenter invites you to a day filled with sneak peaks into the future. You will be able to hear about, see and test products and solutions that we believe will be a big part of our lives in the years to come. 

If you want to join the entire day you are of course more than welcome to work from Epicenter in between sessions.

Our Chief Disruption Officer, Eirik Norman Hansen will lead us through the day and have interesting conversations and discussions with people from all kinds of industries. What do they have in common? They are hyped about the future! 

During the day we will also have a Future Expo where you can see, test and hear about the products a variety of companies are exhibiting. 

To wrap things up we welcome Biohacker and CEO of Dsruptive Technologies, Hannes Sapiens to the stage to talk about the future of wearables and kick off our Future Afterwork!

She has a master's degree in economics from Norges Handelshøyskole and a masters degree in international management from CEMS. She has been nominated for E24 Leadership Talents in Marketing and sits as a jury member when this year's marketer is to be chosen by the Marketing Association in 2022.

Sissel Beate Rønning

Food scientist Sissel Beate Rønning from Nofima AS will share with us how we can feed the world using bioreactors. A few years ago, the first laboratory-grown burger was available for tasting after cultivation at Prof. Mark Post’s lab at Uni. Maastricht. This first proof-of-concept burger had a production cost of 2.8 mill NOK. Cautious calculations estimate that 225 g of nutrients are needed to produce 200 g of animal protein. In contrast, livestock demands at least 5x as much. Knowing that it is possible, the current challenge is to succeed with a large-scale production that is economically and environmentally friendly.

World Future Day is hosted at Epicenter Oslo, right by Holbergs plass, with easy access via public transportation. There are several parking lots available in the area if you should choose to drive.
